Abide Women’s Ministry

Time to pause, connect, and encourage one another.

Abide is a monthly gathering for women aged 18+. It is a relaxed space to make time for one another, enjoy something different, and be encouraged in faith and everyday life.

We want women to feel known, supported, and able to walk alongside one another as they follow Jesus in ordinary life.

The heart

A simple place to be together.

Abide creates space for conversation, support, encouragement, laughter, and the kind of catch-up that is not always possible at the end of church on a Sunday.

Open to

Church, friends, family, and local women.

You do not need to be a church member to come along. Abide is open to women from Millbrook, women coming with friends or family, and women connected with the local area.

Why Abide?

Abide in Me, and I in you.

The name comes from Jesus’ words in John 15:4. As women, we want to encourage one another to stay rooted in Christ.

What usually happens

Each month can look a little different.

Some evenings are quiet and conversational. Others involve something creative, active, or shared around food. The rhythm is simple: make time, enjoy being together, and encourage one another.

Relaxed evenings

Coffee and chat, food together, and simple space to catch up.

Shared activities

Craft workshops, pottery painting, walks, badminton, exercise, and pizza nights.

Stories and support

Occasional testimonies and honest encouragement as women walk alongside one another.

Days out

A day out together, which we hope will become an annual rhythm.

If you are new

You will be made welcome.

It is natural to wonder how many people will be there, or whether a smaller evening might feel a bit more noticeable. Whether the group is big or small, there will be space for you.

Come with a friend, come with family, or come on your own. You can settle in at your own pace.

First time?

You do not need to sign up before coming.

Most evenings do not need any preparation. If there is something to bring, book, or know beforehand, it will be shared in church announcements or in the Abide WhatsApp group.

If you are coming for the first time, it helps to send a message so someone can let you know what is happening that month and look out for you.

Getting involved

Come along when you can.

Dates are shared in church announcements, the newsletter, and the Abide WhatsApp group.
