Homegroups

Small, informal gatherings for prayer, conversation, questions, and growing in faith together.

Homegroups

A smaller place to connect, pray, and explore faith.

Homegroups are small, informal gatherings where we pray, ask questions, and explore faith together.

Millbrook has three homegroup opportunities across Sunday and Wednesday evenings: a Sunday evening women’s group connected with Abide, and two Wednesday evening groups, including one for young adults.

Because homegroups meet in homes, it is helpful to get in touch first. We can confirm the current rhythm, help you find the right group, and share the address privately.

Who it is for

There are a few ways to join in.

You do not need to have been around Millbrook for a long time. If you would like a smaller space to get to know people and grow in faith, homegroup is a good place to begin.

Bible confidence

You do not need to know the Bible well.

We are all learning together. Sometimes the discussion follows a faith topic or the current sermon series, but there is no pressure to contribute and no such thing as a silly question.

First time

You can join at any time.

Because groups meet in homes, you are welcome to get in touch first so someone can give you the right address and help you know what to expect.

Homegroup options

Three places to begin.

Each group has the same heart: space for friendship, prayer, honest conversation, and growing in faith. The setting and rhythm may look a little different depending on the group.

What usually happens

Tea, conversation, faith, and prayer.

Homegroup usually begins with tea, coffee, biscuits, food, or time to settle in. There is often a short devotional or a discussion, then the group finishes with prayer.

Conversation

A friendly and informal setting where people can talk honestly and get to know one another.

Discussion

Space to explore faith, ask questions, and think about how following Jesus connects with everyday life.

Prayer

A simple time to pray for one another, the church, and the wider community.

If you are nervous

Arriving at an unfamiliar house can feel like a big step.

That is completely understandable, especially if you do not know many people yet. Homegroups are friendly and informal, and we will do our best to help you feel at home.

Next step

We can help you find the right group.

If you would like to try homegroup, John can confirm what is happening that week, share the right address, and help you settle in.
